Youth at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

Engaging the youth of the church is an important part of their spiritual growth. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church offers several opportunities for youth to expand and grow their faith, including Youth Group, Kids' Life classes, outreach and service opportunities and an annual Mission Trip.

The Youth Ministry consists of two groups:
• 7th – 8th graders (Confirmation age students)
• 9th-12th graders (High School Youth)
The youth participate in many service activities at Holy Trinity, such as Family Promise, St. Bernard’s Hot Meals Program, gardening at the Church, along with a yearly mission trip and weekly service project within the city of Akron. Additionally, the youth gather for social events such as lock-ins, movie nights and holiday parties. Meetings: Both groups meet for Kids' Life each Sunday from 9:45-10:45 A.M. Other meetings are scheduled as needed.

Affirmation of Baptism classes are for students as they enter the 7th grade. It is a two-year course curriculum that is taught by lay persons and the pastoral staff. Confirmands receive instruction in the sacraments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, how to read and understand the Bible and the various aspects of worship. They learn and talk about how to relate all that they learn to their lives.
