Fellowship Activities at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has a wide variety of social groups for people of all ages to gather for fellowship, service and fun.
Altar Guild provides suitable furnishings and decorations for the nave, chancel and altar and takes due and reverent care of its appointments. The members also help prepare for the administration of the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism. Additionally, Altar Guild members deliver altar flowers to Church members who are hospitalized or who are shut-ins.Meetings: Altar Guild meets at least four times each year at the Church. These are brown bag lunch meetings where members take turns providing a dessert. A program or meeting follows the casual lunch.
Trinity Stampers is a group of Church members who create many types of cards which are used in the Care Ministry. Trinity Stampers meet the 3rd Friday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Scharf Library.
Trinitarians are adults over the age of 50 who gather for Christian fellowship and programs. The Trinitarians meet the 4th Friday September through June at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel Lounge (unless otherwise noted).
Either Side of 40 Gang
The Either Side of 40 Gang includes men and women of all ages, singles and couples who meet for fellowship activities on the fourth Saturday of the month. This group always warmly welcomes everyone into their fellowship.
Leadership, Service, Fellowship (L.S.F.)
L.S.F. promotes its core strengths of leadership, service and fellowship in the women of the congregation. Women are actively involved with various community service projects that are done throughout the year. L.S.F. meets the 4th Monday in January, April and September and the 2nd Monday in December. Meetings are at 10 a.m. at the Church.
Holy Trinity Book Club
The Holy Trinity Book Club brings congregation members together to review and discuss selected books as to the Christian messages that can be applied to everyday life. Meeting: The Holy Trinity Book Club meets in room 202 on the 2nd Sunday of each month after the 11 a.m. worship service. Members are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch. All men and women of the Church are welcome to join in the fellowship and lively dialogue.
Women’s Lenten Retreat
Women of all ages are invited to the Women’s Lenten Retreat a Saturday morning during Lent. The members of Altar Guild sponsor this annual event.
The Memorial Garden Committee maintains the grounds of the Memorial Garden. The Committee also coordinates any repair work and/or updates that need to be made.
Trinity Time Tithers
Trinity Time Tithers is a group of Church members who volunteers their time and talents where needed in the Church. The Trinity Time Tithers meet each Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Fellowship continues with a lunch.
Trinity’s Gardening Angels
Trinity’s Gardening Angels is a group of men and women who enjoy sharing their knowledge of annuals and perennials and their love of gardening. They plant and maintain the entrance garden and the flagpole garden located in Grace Park in conjunction with Keep Akron Beautiful program.
