Special Congregational Meeting

This is to announce a Special Congregational Meeting that has been called for Sunday, April 23rd, immediately following the worship service at approximately 11 am. This meeting will be conducted in person and online.

The purpose of this special meeting is to review the newly revised Annual Budget, vote on the withdrawal of $120,761 from the Budget Endowment Fund for an extraordinary expenditure to offset the 2022 budget deficit, and vote on the rebrand of the Welcome Ministry Team to: Invite-Welcome-Connect Team.

For the purpose of resolving the 2022 deficit, the following applies:

Paragraph 4. of the Budget Endowment Fund document approved on January 26, 2014, states the following:

4. Extraordinary Expenditures

If the Congregation Council determines that available current funds are not sufficient for an extraordinary expenditure, it may authorize the distribution of additional Budget Endowment Fund monies up to the difference between the fund’s appreciation, and the allocated distributions for that year.  This distribution shall be approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the voting members of the Congregation present at an annual or special meeting.  At no time shall the principal be invaded or consumed.

All documents that will be presented during this meeting will be emailed by Palm Sunday so that you have plenty of time to review them before the meeting. If you wish to receive these documents other than by email, please contact the church office and we will send them via USPS mail to your home.
