We are pleased to announce the second recipient of the Linda S. Lease Guran Organ Scholarship: William Bowers. Will is a second-year student at the University of Akron, studying tuba performance and history. He also serves Holy Trinity's Choir as its bass section leader.
"I am beyond thankful to receive this scholarship and begin learning to play the organ. It has always been a huge interest of mine. I even got to see the world's largest organ in Passau, Germany! The opportunity to make music and express my interest and love is a wonderful blessing."
The Linda S. Lease Guran Organ Scholarship was created by the John Guran family in 2012 to honor the life and ministry of Linda S. Lease Guran.
Will's lessons will take place in several area churches while Holy Trinity's organ is under renovation. †
